Product Overview
 KETS Fax Router is a total fax management solution for organizations that require a scalable, reliable interface that can seamlessly integrate with the organization's existing information systems. Using predefined routing rules, the product can automatically route inbound fax documents to users and groups that can be defined by the system administrators. This routing process can be also carried out manually using the graphical interface of the product. The routing of documents to the recipients, which can be based on various specifications of the incoming document, allows the organizations to minimize the human intervention required to process a document increasing the overall efficiency of the business processes of organizations.
Product Features
KETS Fax Router provides interfaces to IBM's globally acclaimed content management solution IBM Content Manager (CM) allowing the storage and retrieval of fax documents to and from this universal information storage system.
KETS Fax Router can also notify users of incoming fax documents by sending them an e-mail that includes a pointer to the document which resides on IBM CM. The sending of a pointer rather than the document itself minimizes bandwidth usage improves the performance of the network. KETS Fax Router SMTP-compliant and is compatible with a variety of email applications that include Lotus Notes, Microsoft Exchange and Novell GroupWise.
KETS Fax Router can also send incoming fax documents to printers, folders, queues and other workflow items. This allows the electronic distribution of faxes to users eliminating unnecessary printing, manual distributing, and scanning processes of fax pages received via fax machines. Users can easily view, annotate, share, and save incoming fax documents from their email clients, folders, queues, and workflow items.
KETS Fax Router also can utilize its own client allowing users to manage the flow of fax documents within the system based on their administrative rights assigned by security policies of the system. Administrators can also define routing rules that contain source and destination information such as CSID, DID, and line number.
KETS Fax Router can run in three routing modes: Manual, Automatic and Hybrid. In Manual mode, all routing has to be done by operators using the KETS Fax Router Client. When in Automatic mode, all routing is done based on routing rules defined by the system administrators. Hybrid mode allows certain fax documents to be manually routed to recipients based on certain criterion while other documents are automatically routed to their destinations.
 KETS Fax Router can be interfaced to RightFax fax management products like RightFax Enterprise Server. Although KETS Fax Router, having a built-in fax server that can be interfaced to the industry standard Intel GammaFax intelligent fax boards, can also be run independently. KETS Fax Router runs as a native 32-bit service that communicates directly with Intel's GammaFax API improving the performance of the fax services.
A more scalable document management solution can be implemented using several KETS Fax Routers. There is no limit to the number of KETS Fax Routers that can be run simultaneously. This allows the utilization of an unlimited number of fax lines. KETS Fax Clients can connect to all the servers that are on the network and receive faxes from all of them.
